Diversified Label Images is a leader in variable-info printing (also known as variable information printing (VIP) or (variable Date Printing VDP) or (VIP Variable Image Printing). VIP is a form of database driven printing in which elements such as text, graphics, serial numbers, barcodes and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next. This is done without stopping or slowing down the flexographic printing process and uses information from a secure database or external file.
Diversified uses this technology to create verifiable
sweepstakes tickets, coupons, booklets and labels. For example, when printing Sweepstakes tickets, unique winning information such as what is revealed from a scratch-off game or lift off game is tied to a particular serial number of a ticket. This information is data based and available to either verify a winning ticket or for accountability of the odds for winners in each game.
Another use would be for promotional coupons with individualized barcodes or reference numbers for tracking promotions or to support a manufacturer’s customer sweepstakes or other contest.
With variable info printing, each ticket or coupon would have the same general layout and images but can have different winning combinations, serial numbers or barcodes printed. This is now possible with the high production, high quality graphics we are famous for.
