When Michael Foley, president and founder of Mushatt’s No.9, called Diversified Label Images, he needed help in developing a package that would better promote his product.  Mushatt’s No. 9, a formulation developed in Ireland in 1922 for the treatment of psoriasis, was being merchandised in containers with a label designating each product.

One of Michael’s primary goals was to achieve a pronounced graphic presence with a package that would be noticed on the shelf.  Another was to be able to purchase small quantities, initially, to see how his product would sell when packaged differently.  Additionally, he wanted to make sure the colors of the new package matched his existing labels.  Being a small business, cost was also a concern.

D.L.I.’s sales consultant, John Stewart, recommended that a folding carton be printed four color process using our in-line flexo graphic carton press.  The U.V. inks would make the colors brilliant and scratch resistant and the in-line process would provide the greatest efficiency at the least cost.  The flat die feature of D.L.I.’s flexo press avoided the high cost of a rotary die and made it possible to run the low quantities desired.
